LOGISTEED UK Limited operates purpose‑built Processing Centres, with teams embedded directly within customer operations across 13 sites in total. Its head office sits within a 40,500 sq metre facility at Hillthorn Business Park in Washington, Sunderland, supported by a second 38,750 sq metre facility at Turbine Business Park less than a mile away, and a third Sunderland site leased to a partner. The company also manages a 3,300 sq metre centre in Basingstoke. All three locations are strategically positioned close to major transport routes to support efficient UK and international distribution.

Logistics Quality Supervisor
Based within our Team in Bognor Regis
40 hours per week
Responsibilities
The Logistics Quality Supervisor ensures a high standard of health and safety is maintained. They assign duties and supervise and report upon the work of varying numbers of operators working in a warehouse environment. They work closely with the customer and support them with any quality topics. They provide effective leadership, communication, motivation and training/development. They ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to and manage performance through an agreed set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). They ensure that team members are trained in warehouse processes and individual progress and performance is monitored. They will be required to carry out any further tasks as deemed necessary by the management team.
Reporting to the Quality Manager.
Summary of main responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of all employees, visitors, customers and contractors in the warehouse and yard.
- To carry out start and end of shift briefings (Gemba), communicate start of shift (SOS) objectives, brief out company communications and carry out other meetings as necessary, e.g. Gemba 07.00 / 15.30.
- To work closely with operations to regulate / expedite throughput and take controlled stops in line with assembly performance / Takt and pull from absence pool to maintain the Recovery Time Objective (RTO).
- To actively check equipment and devices, and ensure anything that has been reported as a concern has been followed up on. Inc Start of Shift (SOS) Material Handling Equipment (MHE) / Device checks.
- To carry out/delegate Gemba Kanri (GK) and ISO9001 audits covering Manual Handling, Driving Standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Process Flows.
- Initiation of Non-Conformity Report (NCR) Investigations documented on Customer SharePoint database, including haulier and supplier issues
- Detailed investigations and process observations to identify potential root cause of non-conformity for Line Stop, Missing at Point of Fit, Lost Volume occurrences and non-conforming material
- Make proposals for containments and countermeasures
- To work closely with the opposing shift to enable accurate data and containment is available for leadership to discuss at Shell I & Shell II daily review. Attending on Shell I 09:30 on a daily basis
- Directly support own and peer groups to solve problems related process and product quality, prioritising work based on volume and quality parts per million (ppm) and non-conforming material reduction targets
- Work closely with customer Logistics Quality Technician (LQT) and the management team in driving quality campaigns and initiatives
- Spend time at the customer manufacturing facility to solve end-to-end quality problems, not just internal agreed issues
- Support process improvement activities according to company Gemba Kanari (GK) Principles and utilising lean tools and techniques
- Ensure timely output of all containments and countermeasures and communicate status, escalating any roadblocks to the line manager
- Support internal GK and external customer and legislative audits through preparation and provision of information on standard processes. Support ISO9001 requirements for Quality Management Systems and perform internal audits for Vantec Process Flows
- Request and implement process changes from the planning/engineering/IT department
- Support induction of new employees (internal, external, permanent, temporary)
- Observe and record process disturbance to inform process improvements
- Suggest process changes to operational management relating to improvements in safety, quality, delivery, morale, cost and environment
- To create One Point Lessons (OPL), Quality alerts and brief staff and display ensuring understanding and compliance.
- To manage the use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other IT applications to process customer requirements.
- To compile and communicate any reports requested by the company, including end of shift reports.
- To maintain visibility on the shop floor.
- To pick accurately at rate / Takt in line with customer requirements.
