Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Grill Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food preparation, excellent cooking skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. The Grill Cook will play a vital part in delivering high-quality meals to our customers while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with culinary techniques are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook grilled dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
Follow food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices at all times
Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as needed
Monitor stock levels and notify management of ingredient shortages
Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers when required
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene procedures
Strong skills in meal preparation, especially grilling techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Previous experience in serving or working directly with customers is advantageous
Culinary experience or relevant kitchen training is desirable but not essential
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
