Full job description

Are you an experienced technical sales professional with a background in HVAC, heating or renewables?

Do you have the confidence to build relationships with M&E Consultants, Contractors, Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Developers, while identifying and winning large-scale commercial projects?

If you combine strong technical knowledge with proven sales experience, this could be an exciting opportunity to join Ariston UK, representing three established brands – Ariston, ELCO and ATAG – across the heating and renewable market.

About the role

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager who can make an impact in the commercial market by developing existing relationships, opening doors to new opportunities and helping customers find the right heating and renewable solutions for their projects.

You will have the opportunity to work across a broad product portfolio, including commercial and domestic boilers, heat pumps and water heaters, supporting customers from initial discussions through to project development.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, meeting customers, building strong networks and turning technical conversations into commercial opportunities.

You will be a key contact for project sales, working collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders to increase sales, strengthen our market presence and grow our customer base.

What we're looking for

We're interested in speaking to people who can demonstrate:

Proven experience in technical sales within HVAC, heating, gas or renewables

Strong knowledge of commercial heating products and solutions

Experience working with M&E Consultants, Contractors, Developers or similar project-led customers

A good understanding of boilers, heat pumps and water heaters, across both commercial and domestic applications

The ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into effective commercial solutions

Strong relationship-building and networking skills

A proactive approach to identifying and developing new business opportunities

Confidence presenting to customers and stakeholders at different levels

Good knowledge of the heating and renewable industry, including legislation, market trends and competitor products

Competent in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Word

Experience using CRM systems and managing sales data

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who understands the industry, knows how to sell technically, and is confident building relationships that lead to long-term business.

What you'll be doing

Grow and nurture our existing stakeholders, as well as targeting new opportunities, to successfully increase Ariston UK’s market presence and brand reputation.

Key contact in relation to project sales within Ariston UK, both internally and externally.

Nurture existing customer relationships and drive business growth, by proactively identifying and developing new opportunities.

Awareness of competitor products and market trends, to ensure we stay ahead of the market, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

Proficient in the use of systems and software to collate, analyse and present data with confidence, discussing the details to all stakeholders where required.

CRM management and review in relation to Sales information.

Excel management and review in relation to Sales data.

Product knowledge within the industry, with clear understanding of USPs and technical information in respect of boilers, heat pumps and water heaters across commercial and domestic.

Demonstrated ability to discuss all brands within Ariston UK (Ariston, Elco, ATAG) with familiarity and ease, including the full product range within each brand.

Understanding of industry legislation and ethical best practices.

Any other reasonable tasks as assigned within the project sales area of responsibility.
