We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Mobile Phone Repair Technician to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics on mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices to identify faults and technical issues.
- Repair or replace damaged components including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, and internal hardware.
- Utilise specialised repair equipment and hand tools to perform repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Follow technical schematics, repair guides, and manufacturer procedures to ensure accurate and reliable repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
- Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of repair tools and equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and basic networking issues when required.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by providing clear explanations of faults, repair options, and expected turnaround times.
- Build positive relationships with customers and ensure a professional experience from initial enquiry through to collection.
- Promote and sell mobile phones, accessories, gadgets, and electronic products based on customer needs.
- Identify opportunities to upsell additional products, services, warranties, screen protection, device insurance, and accessories.
- Stay up to date with the latest mobile technology, repair techniques, and product developments.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop and retail environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mobile phone repair, electronics maintenance, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using precision hand tools.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, schematics, and repair techniques.
- Knowledge of computer networking and electronic equipment repair is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
- Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is highly desirable.
- Confidence in recommending products and services and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- High level of manual dexterity and patience for intricate repair work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
