Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data management. Duties

Assist with accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
Input data into accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and Workday with precision
Manage data entry tasks related to financial transactions, maintaining organised records
Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing reports
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Maintain up-to-date records of financial documents and correspondence
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required
Contribute to process improvements within the accounts department to enhance efficiency

Experience

Proven experience working with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or Workday is highly desirable
Familiarity with accounts payable procedures and data entry tasks within a financial services environment
Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately under tight deadlines
Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in bookkeeping and accounting processes
Prior experience in a similar role will be considered an asset but is not essential for entry-level candidates
