AutoCAD Designer

Location: Hamilton Technology Park, Blantyre
Job Type: Full-time, On-site
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis at Hamilton Technology Park, Blantyre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and producing accurate technical and construction drawings, working closely with our design engineering and project teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated designs.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical drawing skills, excellent attention to detail and experience supporting projects within an engineering, construction or MEP/M&E environment.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed technical and construction drawings using AutoCAD
Work with the design engineering team to ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated and compliant
Interpret project specifications, design briefs and technical information
Support project teams throughout the full project lifecycle
Ensure drawings comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
Assist with design coordination across multidisciplinary teams
Review and amend drawings as required during project development
Maintain high standards of accuracy, presentation and document control

Skills and Experience Required

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing
Experience producing construction drawings and working from project specifications
Good understanding of design engineering principles
Ability to work on complex projects and manage multiple priorities
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience in MEP/M&E design or the construction industry is advantageous

Desirable

Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards
Familiarity with CIBSE and British Standards requirements
HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design or a related discipline preferred

We are seeking a reliable, detail-focused AutoCAD Designer who can work collaboratively with engineers, designers and project teams to produce accurate, high-quality drawings. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
