Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and gardening, with a strong focus on landscape maintenance and construction. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the aesthetic and functional quality of various landscapes.

Duties

Perform regular landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal.
Operate a variety of power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently.
Use hand tools for planting, edging, and general garden care tasks.
Assist with construction projects such as installing pathways, retaining walls, or garden features.
Manage irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal watering schedules.
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects under supervision.
Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscape designs aligned with client specifications.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to garden machinery and power tools.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as spades, rakes, and pruners.
Experience operating heavy equipment like excavators is advantageous.
Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair.
Strong understanding of gardening practices and plant care principles.
Ability to undertake construction tasks related to landscaping projects.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Physical fitness to perform outdoor labour in various weather conditions.
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about outdoor environments and landscape design, seeking to develop their skills within a professional setting.
Must have own transport
