Business Development Manager - Private Sector

£45,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Company Car/Car Allowance + Benefits

Miller Knight are a growing multi-discipline Principal Contractor delivering fire remediation and refurbishment projects across the UK.

Trusted by major property owners, managing agents, developers, investors and commercial organisations, we are continuing to grow our private sector client base and are looking for a confident, ambitious Business Development professional to help drive that growth.

This is a genuine new business role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and turning conversations into commercial success.

You will be responsible for representing Miller Knight professionally, developing new client relationships and identifying opportunities where our specialist services can add value.

This role would suit someone who is naturally confident, commercially driven and enjoys speaking with people, whether that’s through networking, meetings, LinkedIn outreach or picking up the phone to create new opportunities.

Your role will include:

Developing new business opportunities across the private sector, including property management companies, commercial landlords, developers, investors, hotels and other private organisations.
Building strong relationships with key decision makers and becoming a trusted point of contact for clients.
Proactively creating opportunities through telephone prospecting, LinkedIn outreach, networking, industry events and face-to-face meetings.
Identifying upcoming projects, gathering market intelligence and developing a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Managing your own sales pipeline from initial conversation through to qualified opportunity and successful handover.
Working closely with estimating and operational teams to support successful project delivery.
Maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting on business development activity.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Have experience within Business Development, Sales, Recruitment, Consultancy or another client-facing environment where you have been responsible for building relationships and winning opportunities.
Are confident speaking with people at all levels and building rapport quickly.
Enjoy meeting clients face-to-face and representing a business professionally.
Have a proactive approach and enjoy generating new business rather than simply managing existing accounts.
Are commercially driven, ambitious and motivated by achieving results.
Have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
Are organised, resilient and self-motivated.
Are happy travelling throughout the UK.
Have experience within construction, property, refurbishment or facilities management (preferred but not essential).
