Full job description

We want the best people to join our high performing, friendly Business & Performance Team. The role covers Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, CYPMH, Children's Services and Community Services across Dorset.

As a Service Improvement Manager you will work as part of a team reporting to a Performance Manager working across corporate and operational services that are responsible for developing and reporting on all indicators. You work closely with front line services to identify service improvement and affect change. A flair for project management, an eye for detail, as well as people skills to take forward changes in line with the principles of performance monitoring is essential. The ability to interpret complex data to help services see where improvements can be made is a key element of the role.

To lead projects in conjunction with the Business Partners and Performance Managers to improve services, implement transitional initiatives and efficiency programmes.

Manage Projects in accordance with the Trust's standard processes in delivering the appropriate outcomes.

To develop in conjunction with services the design and document processes to deliver these initiatives.

To transfer improvement knowledge appropriately into the operational part of the Trust.

This is a pivotal role that sits within the corporate structure but is very much an operational interfacing role. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach are a must as well as a sense of humour and the ability to manage multiple projects. As part of the Business and Performance team, it is essential that you are able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders and commissioners, whilst taking forward change.
