Full job description

Key Responsibilities

Prepare vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming
Remove and refit vehicle components, trims, panels, lights, and fittings as required
Carry out vehicle stripping and reassembly to a high standard
Apply paint finishes in accordance with company standards
Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality finish and attention to detail
Work independently to meet deadlines and allocated job times
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
Communicate clearly regarding job progress and any additional work required
Support and promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as an Automotive Painter, Prepper, or Fit & Strip Technician
Strong knowledge of vehicle preparation, paint processes, and panel fitting
Ability to safely remove and refit vehicle components without damage
Ability to work unsupervised and manage workload efficiently
Excellent time management and organisational skills
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Positive attitude with a professional and reliable work ethic
Ability to maintain quality standards while working to deadlines

Qualifications

Relevant trade qualification or proven industry experience in automotive painting, vehicle preparation, or fit and strip work
Valid driver's licence
