Location: Bournemouth Town Centre (Office Based)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent – 37 Hours per Week
Salary: £28,400 – £29,400 per annum (depending on experience)

About Us

Rebbeck Brothers is a long-established and respected Property Management Company located in the heart of Bournemouth. As one of Bournemouth’s oldest firms, we have a proud heritage spanning over 150 years, dating back to the very beginnings of the town’s development.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our busy and supportive Accounts Team on a permanent basis.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to develop their accounting career within a fast-paced property management environment. You will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Department across a broad range of financial and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

Producing and issuing monthly budgets and client demands
Managing Sales Ledger activities, including arrears monitoring and debt collection
Maintaining accurate client financial records
Preparing monthly and quarterly Directors’ Reports for clients
Assisting with year-end reconciliations and preparation work
Processing daily banking transactions, including online and manual receipts
Handling departmental emails and telephone enquiries professionally
Managing Purchase Ledger processes, including invoice logging and authorisation workflow
Coding invoices accurately within the accounting system
Preparing and processing supplier payments, including BACS payments
Resolving supplier account queries efficiently
Delivering excellent customer service to clients, suppliers, and colleagues
Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Supporting the team with ad hoc duties as required

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for someone with:

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and confidence using bespoke software systems
Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work independently using initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team
A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high service standards

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Experience using QUBE software (advantageous)
Previous Service Charge Accounting experience (beneficial)
Part or fully qualified AAT (beneficial but not essential)
