Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home

Bradford
£31,000 - £33,000
Sleep-ins paid in addition to salary

Eden Oaks Care are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our growing residential childcare team.

We are looking for someone who is nurturing, resilient, and motivated to help young people achieve positive outcomes within a safe and therapeutic home environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive company that values its staff, promotes development, and is focused on delivering high-quality care.

Your Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

Lead shifts and support the wider staff team
Build positive relationships with young people
Support children with daily routines, education, and independence
Ensure safeguarding and risk management procedures are followed
Support with staff supervisions, rotas, and team meetings
Maintain accurate care plans, reports, and risk assessments
Work closely with management and external professionals
Support the home on shift, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Requirements

Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience working within a Children’s Residential Home
Previous senior experience
Good understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations
Strong communication and leadership skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable

Level 5 qualification or willingness to work towards
Therapeutic care experience
Team Teach / First Aid training
