We have an excellent opportunity for two Data, Funding and Exams Apprentices to join our exceptional DFE department here at Bradford College.
The DFE Apprentice is an integral role within the department and is great opportunity for someone wanting to kickstart a career in Information Management and Further Education.
You will work closely with the DFE Officers to ensure accurate and timely planning, processing of data and administrative tasks relating to Exams/Registrations, Audit, ILR and timetabling, gaining invaluable experience in Management Information Systems (MIS).
Please note that this is initially a Fixed Term position for 18 months to cover the duration of the apprenticeship.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the process of validating ILR and ensuring audit compliance.
- Provide administrative support where required and appropriate
- To provide support with enrolment enquiries and to provide high levels of customer service
- To gain an understanding of the current fees policy and use this to inform and enable accurate data for the ILR and Audit.
- Liaise with the departmental MIS assistants to ensure data is accurate for monthly ILR returns and Audits.
- To develop in-depth understanding of the current fees policy to ensure students are enrolled accurately.
- To Ensure Examination invoices are accurate and processed timely.
- To provide effective administrative support for the day to day running of enrolment registration/examination and timetabling
- Assist with processing achievers and certificates
- Support the department with audit preparation
- Improve data quality by identifying and supporting training needs.
- Administration of examination and assessments.

Education & Training
- GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale
- GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale
- Willingness to complete an Apprenticeship in Business Admin Level 3 within an agreed timescale
Experience
- Evidence of high level of keyboard/ word processing skills with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and the use of the internet.
