We are looking for an experienced florist both full-time & part-time who can jump straight into the action in both our locations within Halifax and other location in Cleckheaton.
You need to be a creative, energetic and focused florist who knows the importance of teamwork, and fit with our “everybody does everything” attitude. You need to be able to work quickly and efficiently whilst keeping calm and confident, even when under pressure.
Job Duties and Tasks for: Florist
1) Confer with clients regarding price and type of arrangement desired and the date,
time, and place of delivery.
2) Plan arrangement according to clients requirements, utilizing knowledge of design and properties of materials, or select appropriate standard design pattern.
3) Water plants/flowers, cut, condition, and clean flowers and foliage for storage.
4) Select flora and foliage for arrangements, working with numerous combinations to synthesize and develop new creations.
5) Wrap and price completed arrangements.
6) Trim material and arrange bouquets, wreaths, terrariums, and other items using
trimmers, shapes, wire, pins, floral tape, foam, and other materials.
7) Perform retail service duties such as keeping order sheets, serving
customers, answering telephones, Stock taking, selling gift-ware items, and receiving payments in cash & card.
12) Unpack stock as it comes into the shop with shop assistants help..
13) Create and change in-store and window displays, designs, and looks to enhance shops display.
14) Train/Induct other workers and new starters if required.
15) General cleaning and keep up of the shop floor.
16) Liaising with the delivery driver/ deliver the flowers to the customers for which your car mileage will be paid in accordance to the driving agreement (if you drive).
17) Any other tasks required by the manager or owner depending on the business requirements.
Hours will be discussed to suit both parties, however working some Saturdays and Sundays will be expected. Additional hours at peak periods or for weddings will also be required. Salary will be paid on monthly basis on the 6th of each month.
