Company: External Doors Online

Location: Brighouse Office (Fully Office-Based)

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm (Full-Time, No Weekends, No Bank Holidays)

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)

About Us

External Doors Online is a growing nationwide e-commerce supplier of high-quality glazing products, windows, and doors. We take our customer support seriously and are looking for a proactive, organised, and empathetic Customer Service Lead to join us at our Brighouse office.

You will be the main point of contact for all customer care enquiries, making it ideal for a self-starter who loves taking ownership, managing their own workload, and delivering an excellent customer experience from start to finish. Covering everything from initial product queries to aftersales support.

Key Responsibilities

Be the Main Point of Contact: Handle all customer care enquiries professionally and efficiently via phone and email.
Resolve Issues: Efficiently investigate and resolve customer complaints and aftersales queries, turning complex situations into positive solutions.
Order Tracking & Updates: Keep customers fully informed about their order status, delivery schedules, and any service issues.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise daily with suppliers, couriers, and internal teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer journey.
Keep Accurate Records: Maintain spotless customer records and ensure our internal CRM and order management systems are kept up to date.
Improve Processes: Identify patterns in customer feedback and suggest ways we can continuously improve our service and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Previous experience in a dedicated customer service, customer care, or aftersales role. Experience within online retail, home improvement, manufacturing, or construction is highly beneficial.
Autonomy: A proven ability to work independently, prioritise your own workload, and manage your time effectively.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication—you are a natural problem solver who can diffuse tension with a calm, professional approach.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in logging data and updating internal systems.
Tech-Savvy: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email systems, and ideally, experience with order tracking or CRM platforms.
