Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a dynamic and friendly environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with company standards.
Take orders from customers efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety.
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner to create a welcoming environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively.
Good understanding of basic maths for handling payments and giving correct change.
Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of customer service.
A friendly, approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the business schedule.
A responsible attitude towards alcohol service and guest safety. This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to grow their skills within a supportive team environment while delivering exceptional service to our guests.
