Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to join our team on a part-time basis, working exclusively during daytime hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality pastry creations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a vibrant environment, contributing to the creation of delicious desserts and baked goods that delight our customers.

Duties

Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods in accordance with established recipes and standards
Assist in the planning and development of new pastry items to enhance our menu offerings
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to during food preparation and handling
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section and kitchen equipment
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods
Assist with general kitchen duties as required, supporting overall restaurant operations

Skills

Proven experience in food production, baking, and food preparation within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to pastries and desserts
Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential for highly motivated candidates
A passion for baking and creating visually appealing desserts that meet high-quality standards

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
