This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to join SSI's UK Training Centre and play a key role in supporting technician development, compliance, and operational excellence.

Location: Montrose, Scotland (with occasional travel to Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth)
Reporting to: Training Manager

About the Role

SSIUK is seeking a highly organised and motivated Technical Training Administrator to support the delivery and administration of our technical training programmes. This is a varied role combining training administration, compliance monitoring, competency management, and practical support for training delivery.

Working closely with the Training Manager, Technical Trainers, and wider business teams, you will help ensure our technicians remain competent, compliant, and trained to the highest industry standards.

This role offers an excellent development pathway for someone interested in progressing into technical training delivery, assessment, quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) support.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update ASP and Non-ASP competency matrices.
Support the Training Manager during internal and external audits.
Prepare and produce training materials, course packs, and associated documentation.
Support the technicians in the gathering of evidence (photos and videos) to prove competencies during practical training within the SSI UK Training Centre.
Maintain training records in accordance with SSI's quality management systems and training programme requirements.
Monitor technician certifications and competency records to ensure ongoing compliance.
Upload training records, certificates and supporting evidence to internal systems.
Act as a point of contact for technician training logs and competency updates.
Coordinate and schedule training courses, including travel and accommodation arrangements where required.
Facilitate training centre activities, including candidate onboarding, course logistics, and day-to-day administration.
Support the development and maintenance of the annual training timetable.
Assist in ensuring training programmes meet contractual requirements, ISO standards, and industry regulations.
Arrange maintenance of training equipment under the guidance of Technical Trainers.
Ensure training activities are delivered in accordance with SSI QHSE procedures and risk assessments.
Participate in continuous professional development and mandatory company training.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Experience working with training, competency, or skills management systems.
Previous experience in a training administration, coordination, or facilitation role.
Strong IT and system administration skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Desirable

Training delivery qualification.
Assessor qualification (A1, D32/33 or equivalent).
IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
Internal Auditor qualification.
Experience working within technical, engineering, marine, offshore, or compliance-focused environments.
