Job Summary:
Longlife Cardiff Exhausts Ltd. is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to
join our team as a full-time Welder, Fabricator, and Fitter. No prior experience is
necessary, as we are committed to providing comprehensive, full training to the
successful candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a
long-term career and gain certified skills in bespoke metal fabrication and automotive
fitting.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding and Fabrication: Learn and perform various welding techniques
(ARC) for the construction of custom stainless steel exhausts and related
components.
Fitting and Installation: Assist and eventually perform the fitting and
installation of custom exhaust systems onto customer vehicles.
Measurement and Cutting: Learn to read technical drawings and accurately
measure and cut metal tubing and sheet material.
Workshop Operations: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work
environment.
Quality Control: Assist in checking finished products to ensure they meet the
company's high-quality standards.
Tool Maintenance: Learn how to properly use and maintain workshop tools
and equipment.
Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other members of the fabrication and
fitting team.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: None required. This is an entry-level position with full training
provided.
Attitude: Must have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a
proactive attitude.
Technical Aptitude: A keen interest in metalwork, engineering, or the
automotive industry is highly desirable.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift
heavy materials when necessary.
Reliability: Excellent timekeeping and reliability are essential for full-time
employment.
