Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Company Manager to oversee daily operations on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining efficient workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with management and leadership skills to contribute to a professional cleaning service organisation.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate cleaning staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Organise daily schedules and allocate resources effectively - Keep the day-to-day rota running smoothly, handling changes and shifting requirements seamlessly
- Monitor quality control and implement improvements where necessary
- Provide training and guidance to new and existing team members
- Manage client relationships, addressing any concerns promptly
- Maintain health and safety standards across all operations
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding and performance evaluations of staff - Lead the recruitment of new staff, set high service standards, and build stable, long-term relationships with the team to ensure longevity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times
- Help grow the business via prompt response to customer enquiries and support of marketing and sales activity
- Service Level Agreement (SLA) Responsibilities - Maintain strict responsiveness targets for all client communications. This includes picking up inbound lead inquiries from people wanting a quote, managing follow-up visits, and handling calls to rearrange appointments or manage complaints.
- Client Engagement & Growth - Talk directly with prospective clients to build trust, guide them through onboarding, and nurture existing accounts to encourage five-star reviews and referrals.
- Social Media Presence -Support the growth of the business by managing and posting regular, organic content on our key social media platforms, primarily Facebook.
- Monthly Financial Reconciliation - Undertake a monthly reconcile exercise to check that all work completed has been fully invoiced, paid, and accounted for in the bank account.
- Sleeves-Up Emergency Support - Maintain the flexibility to step into the field and deliver hands-on cleaning yourself if a team member is ill, ensuring our clients are never left without support.
- Facilitating deep cleans and end of tenancy cleans, by delivering the cleaning equipment and materials, quality inspections and where needed finishing touches
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the cleaning or facilities management sector
- Demonstrable management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure
- Leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a managerial role is desirable but not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
- Drivers licence would be important
