Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy restaurant environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents, deliver exceptional meal experiences, and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of our establishment. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and food safety compliance.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes, including meats, vegetables, and seafood, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist in menu planning and develop new grill recipes to enhance our offerings.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal flavour and presentation.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy periods.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, well-maintained, and stored correctly after use.
Assist in training junior kitchen staff on grilling techniques and safety procedures.
Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
A passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
