Full job description

The Barrister Group provides barristers to solicitors, businesses and members of the public seeking legal advice and representation in court. We're expanding our dynamic sales team and seeking motivated professionals to help The Barrister Group match clients with appropriate barristers and handle the process of formal instruction. Successful candidates will need to attend our head office in Taunton, Somerset, for an initial onboarding period of up to 4 weeks.

What we're looking for:

Ambitious, quick learners with strong communication skills

Empathetic problem-solvers who can accurately assess clients’ legal needs

Individuals driven by a genuine desire to improve access to justice What you’ll be doing:

Fielding leads over telephone, email, booking form or live chat from solicitors and members of the public seeking legal advice or representation

Logging each lead in the appropriate CRM

Triaging leads to gauge viability based on The Barrister Group’s core services and either:

accepting the lead, recording details (e.g., area of law and instruction-type) in our bespoke case management system, confirming availability of suitable barristers and progressing to quote and conversion

disqualifying the lead in CRM and signposting to other more appropriate services

Being available to clients throughout the quoting and conversion process to field any queries and provide additional information where necessary to achieve conversion

Collaborating with both internal (e.g., marketing, technology, finance) and external stakeholders (e.g., solicitors, chambers and marketing partners) to define and achieve growth objectives and raise brand awareness through networking

Skills and knowledge required:

Experience working in a fast-paced consumer-facing sales team

Excellent customer service skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to prioritise, plan and organise workloads in a busy working environment

Creative and innovative problem-solving and an ability to negotiate confidently

Excellent interpersonal skills and team-player mentality

Professional, empathetic and patient telephone manner Competent IT skills (primarily Microsoft Office)

Pay: £27,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
