Full job description

Carmel Jane Photography are one of the UK’s leading school photographers, leading the way in best-in-class school photography, headshot photography and dance photography, with an open plan office and on site parking set in the countryside between Brentwood and Chelmsford in Essex.

The Role

We are looking for a highly creative, organised and commercially aware Marketing Coordinator to take ownership of marketing across all areas of Carmel Jane Photography, including schools, graduations, dance and nursery photography.

This is a varied and hands-on role that blends strategy, design, content creation and performance analysis. You will play a key role in both attracting new school partnerships (B2B) and driving parent sales (B2C), while continually evolving our brand and service offering.

Reporting directly to the GM, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, thrives working autonomously in a creative, ever-evolving environment and wants to play a key role in growing a well-established brand.

We are open to this being a full time role, Monday to Friday, or part time working a minimum of 28 hours over 4 or 5 days. We are also open to hybrid working if preferred, 2/3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

B2B Marketing & School Partnerships

Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and convert schools and nurseries
Design and produce marketing collateral including brochures, inserts and pitch materials
Plan and deliver targeted email marketing campaigns
Support the development of new concepts and incentives to increase school conversion and improve retention
Research and coordinate our participation at conferences and exhibitions for lead generation, including identifying suitable events, organiser communications, preparing all materials required

B2C Marketing & Ecommerce

Manage the back-end of the ecommerce system to troubleshoot issues, extract and interpret key information and make informed adjustments to improve performance
Manage and optimise email workflows for parents to increase engagement and sales
Oversee ecommerce shop design and user journey to maximise conversion and spend
Analyse sales data and customer behaviour to inform ongoing improvements
Support product launches and promotional campaigns

Design & Content Creation

Create a wide range of visual assets including brochures, ads, signage, posters, presentations and exhibition materials
Maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints
Support ongoing website updates in collaboration with developers
Manage social media content and scheduling

Brand & Customer Experience

Manage testimonials and reviews across platforms
Ensure consistent and high-quality brand presentation
Continuously refine messaging and positioning
Take ownership of brand management, ensuring all marketing activity, communications and visual assets remain consistent, on-brand, and aligned with company guidelines and messaging

Product & Service Development

Contribute to shoot concepts and product development
Identify opportunities to enhance our service offering to schools and parents
Stay ahead of competitors by introducing new ideas and innovations

Performance & Strategy

Regularly review sales performance and marketing effectiveness
Use data insights to inform strategy and decision-making
Support award submissions and industry recognition initiatives

About You

We are looking for someone with strong experience in a marketing related role

Previous experience in branding, content creation and digital campaign management, with an understanding of both B2B and B2C customer journeys, would be highly advantageous

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Creative thinker with design skills

Commercially aware with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions

Confident managing multiple projects at once

Strong written communication skills

Proactive, ideas-driven and comfortable taking ownership
