Position Title: BMS Project Manager

Location: Southeast & Kent (Covering Multiple Projects)

Reports To: Project Director

Job Summary

Learnd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BMS Project Manager to oversee and manage multiple BMS projects across London, the South East, and Kent. The ideal BMS Project Manager will come from a BMS engineering background, having extensive experience with Trend and Tridium systems, and have worked in a building management systems environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management

Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure successful delivery of BMS projects.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.

Client and Stakeholder Management

Establish and maintain relationships with clients, third parties/vendors, and all project stakeholders.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Report and escalate to management as needed.

Technical Expertise and Oversight

Provide technical direction and support for project team members.
Utilize extensive knowledge of Trend and Tridium systems to ensure project success.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
Oversee the integration of HVAC, lighting, security, and other systems into the BMS.

Team Leadership

Lead project teams, manage day-to-day project activities, and ensure team members have the tools they need to succeed.
Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Meet with clients to take detailed briefs and clarify specific project requirements.

Qualifications

Experience:

Proven working experience in project management within the BMS environment.
Solid technical background with hands-on experience in Trend and Tridium systems.

Skills:

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project).

Certifications:

BMS-specific certifications (e.g., Trend, Tridium) are highly advantageous.
Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
