We’re now looking for a caring, enthusiastic qualified dental nurse to join us in a varied role that combines clinical nursing with reception responsibilities. This is a dual role position, so we're looking for someone who enjoys both patient facing administration and clinical nursing, and is happy to be involved in both sides of practice life.
About Us
We’re a well-established practice in the heart of Mumbles with a largely private patient base and a small NHS contract for children. We provide general, family and cosmetic dentistry — including Invisalign — and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care in a calm, modern setting.
What the Role Involves
This role is available on a 4-5 days per week basis and offers a great mix of responsibilities, giving you variety in your day and the chance to use all your skills. The successful candidate will divide their time between surgery and reception, playing an important role in both areas of the practice.
In Surgery:
- Chairside support for dentists and hygienists
- Preparing and maintaining clinical areas
- Ensuring high standards of cross-infection control
- Keeping clear and accurate clinical records
- Helping patients feel comfortable and at ease
On Reception:
- Welcoming and assisting patients
- Booking appointments and managing diaries
- Answering phone and email enquiries
- Taking payments and updating records
- Helping keep the day running smoothly
We’re looking for someone who enjoys both the clinical and people-facing sides of dentistry.
About You
- GDC-registered Qualified Dental Nurse
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Organised and reliable
- Confident communicating with patients and colleagues
- Comfortable using dental software systems (we use R4 Clinical+)
Previous reception experience is a bonus, but not essential — we’re happy to support the right person. However, applicants must be comfortable working on reception as a regular and important part of the role.

Hours & Pay
Working Pattern: 4 to 5 days per week
Monday to Friday
08:15 – 17:15 (1 hour lunch break)
We are looking for a qualified dental nurse who can work a minimum of 4 days per week, with the opportunity to work up to 5 days per week depending on availability and practice requirements.
Pay: From £13.50 per hour for qualified nurses
Higher rates available depending on experience and responsibilities
