Job Title: Workshop Commercial Painter - Forklift Truck

Salary: c£38K Dependent on experience + Pension + Life Cover + Holiday Allocation

Location: South Petherton, Somerset

Jofson Ltd is a well-established and rapidly expanding company which provides materials handling solutions to a UK wide customer base. As a leading independent Mitsubishi Forklift Truck dealer in the region, we have a commitment to providing the very best customer service available in our field.

An excellent opportunity has arisen at our Somerset depot for a Workshop Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Surface Preparation: Sand, mask, degrease, and prime forklift chassis and components.
Cosmetic Spraying: Apply industrial paints using spray guns.
Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough examinations and safety checks post-refurbishment.
Parts Management: Track stock levels for mechanical components and paint supplies.

Requirements & Skills

Painting Expertise: Experience with industrial spray painting and body preparation.
Certifications: Recognised qualification in engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Detail Oriented: Ability to spot mechanical faults and paint finish imperfections.
Safety Aware: Strict adherence to COSHH, PPE, and extraction booth regulations.

Working Conditions

Workshop-based role with dedicated servicing bays and ventilated paint booths.
Physical work involving heavy lifting, bending, and working at heights.
