Mobility Scooter & Small Vehicle Repair Technician

Brigg, North Lincolnshire
Full Time | Permanent
£30,000 – £36,000 per year depending on experience

About Us

Brigg Mobility is a growing local business specialising in mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs, rise & recline chairs and mobility equipment sales, servicing and repairs.

We are looking for a practical, reliable and customer-friendly technician to join our team.

The Role

This is a varied hands-on role involving both workshop repairs and helping run the mobility shop floor day-to-day.

You will be responsible for servicing and repairing mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs, rise & recline chairs and golf buggies, assisting customers in store, booking in repairs and helping support the growth of the mobility department.

Main Duties

Diagnose faults and repair mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs, rise & recline chairs and golf buggies
Carry out servicing, maintenance and safety checks
Replace batteries, tyres, motors, controllers and electrical components
Assist customers in store with mobility products and sales
Help customers choose suitable mobility scooters and rise & recline chairs
Book in repairs and keep customers updated
Help manage the day-to-day running of the mobility shop floor
Maintain a clean and organised workshop
Occasional collection and delivery of customer equipment

Requirements

Mechanical or electrical repair experience
Good practical problem-solving skills
Friendly and professional manner with customers
Ability to work independently
Full UK driving licence

Ideal Backgrounds

Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

Motorbike or scooter repairs
Bicycle or e-bike repairs
Small engine or garden machinery repairs
Mobility scooter repairs
Workshop technician experience
Furniture or electrical recliner repair experience
