Background

Campsites.co.uk is a friendly, fast-growing travel website located just around the corner from Haywards Heath mainline railway station. A platform with thousands of sites to browse and book, you can think of us as a Booking.com equivalent for camping and glamping.

Our mission is to inspire the 10+ million people who use our website each year to get outdoors more often and feel more adventurous.

The role

We’re looking for someone to help us achieve unexpected levels of customer service – so good that people tell their friends about us. Alongside that, to be part of an operations team who are the glue that holds everything together.

You’ll be both campsite and camper facing, acting as a first point of contact via email and phone and really care about getting people the right result. You’ll be friendly to your core and have bags of empathy.

The role follows a set two week shift pattern (37.5 hours per week, with four weekdays at our offices and one weekend day from home).

Responsibilities

Answering and routing inbound calls, emails and other contacts
Assisting both campsites and campers with booking related questions and issues
Supporting the operations team on ownership of quality of service delivery
Various projects and administrative tasks as necessary

Attributes

Self-motivated people-person, with an enthusiastic can-do attitude
Excellent attention to detail
Organised, deadline aware and willing to roll your sleeves up and take responsibility
Friendly, with good empathy and a customer-driven service ethic
Great written communication skills
Experience in the travel sector a bonus

Package

This role is for 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary of £26,000 to £27,750, plus benefits including share options, company bonus (typically £1,500 pa), up to 30 days of holiday, self-led training budget, and 5% pension contribution.

The role follows a two week shift pattern:

Week one: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday
Week two: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00-£27,750.00 per year
