Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join the team at a charming small guest house in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a cosy hospitality setting while developing your cleaning and hospitality skills.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms to the highest standards
Change bed linen, towels, and replenish amenities as required
Ensure all surfaces, floors, and furnishings are dust-free and spotless
Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to management
Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storing towels
Support other team members during busy periods or special events as needed
Guest interaction when needed. Whether a guest requires an early check-in, or friendly interaction when they depart. Being a small opperation, it is a multi-level role.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is desirable but not essential.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work independently
Good organisational skills and reliability
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules when needed.

This role is mostly on Sunday and Monday mornings, 10am starting time. With additional shifts when needed or available.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
