FullTime | Permanent

About Chandlers Building Supplies

Established in 1993, Chandlers Building Supplies serves the South East with highquality materials and a strong focus on customer service. We are proud to be part of the Independent Builders Merchants Group (IBMG).

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Transport / Yard Manager to oversee the daytoday running of our yard and delivery operations. Youll lead a team of drivers and yard staff, ensure safe and efficient operations, and help deliver excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all yard operations (goods in/out, stock rotation, housekeeping)

Schedule and oversee deliveries to ensure ontime, efficient service

Supervise, motivate, and support drivers and yard staff

Ensure high standards of health & safety at all times

Maintain vehicle compliance (servicing, inspections, legal checks)

Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams

Ensure branch operations follow company policies and procedures

What Were Looking For

Previous experience in a similar role within a builders merchant or construction supply environment

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent organisation and communication skills

Good knowledge of transport legislation and vehicle compliance

Forklift licence (desirable, not essential)

Working Hours

Week 1

Monday to Friday: 07:00 17:00

Week 2

Monday to Friday: 07:00 17:00

Saturday: 08:00 12:00
