Job Description

We’re looking for a Technical & Governance Consultant to join our Group Protection Claims team, Offering up to £42,000 dependent on experience. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in driving quality, consistency and continuous improvement across claims, ensuring fair customer outcomes while supporting colleagues and shaping best practice.

What you'll be doing:

Conducting regular audits of claims decisions to ensure consistent and fair customer outcomes
Assessing and managing appeals across Group Protection and IPB claims
Developing and improving processes to support complaints handling and reduce root causes
Analysing data, identifying trends and sharing insights to drive improvements
Supporting the design and delivery of technical training across the claims teams
Reviewing and enhancing claims philosophies, techniques and industry best practice
Contributing to projects and process improvements across Group Protection
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection standards

Who we're looking for:

Strong experience within Group Protection claims or a similar technical environment
Good knowledge of Group Protection and IPB products
Understanding of relevant legislation including GDPR and industry regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Confidence in reviewing complex cases and making fair, balanced decisions
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience supporting training, coaching or developing others
Ability to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines
