Falcon Events is looking for a reliable, practical person to join our small team, helping with event installations, dismantling events and general warehouse work.
We specialise in venue draping, ceiling installations, backdrops and large-scale event transformations for weddings, corporate events, awards evenings and parties across Sussex, London and the South East.
No previous event experience is essential, as training will be provided. We are more interested in finding someone dependable, willing to learn and comfortable with practical, physical work. Though you must have a driving license
The role includes
- Loading and unloading vans
- Installing and removing event draping, backdrops and decorations
- Assisting with late-night or early-morning event derigs
- Folding, sorting and preparing fabric in the warehouse
- Cleaning, checking and organising equipment
- Travelling to venues across Sussex, London and the South East
- Learning how to install wall and ceiling draping safely
- Helping the team solve practical problems while working on site
What we are looking for
- A full driving licence is essential
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable with lifting, ladders and physical work
- Available for occasional evenings, weekends and late finishes
- Able to work calmly as part of a team
- Willing to learn and take instructions
- Presentable and professional when working at venues
Creativity and an interest in events are welcome, but they are not essential. Practical ability, common sense and reliability are more important.
Hours
The work is flexible and varies depending on our event schedule. Initially, it may be one or two days per week, with additional shifts available during busy periods. We don’t expect availability of every job Though
This is not a regular Monday-to-Friday position. Event work can include long days, early starts, late-night collections and weekend shifts.
