Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and skilled Handy Man to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and renovation tasks across various facilities. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Handy Man will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our premises through effective repairs and improvements.

Duties

Carry out carpentry tasks including repairs, installations, and modifications to structures and fixtures
Conduct roofing repairs and maintenance to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing
Perform construction painting to maintain or enhance the appearance of buildings and surfaces
Execute masonry tasks including bricklaying, patching, and restoring walls or surfaces
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various repair activities
Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in building maintenance and repair tasks
Ability to interpret technical drawings or instructions for fabrication and installation projects
Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary
A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and reliability in completing assigned duties on time

Pay: £100.00-£150.00 per day
