Full job description

Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic mechanic looking for a new challenge within the motor industry? Due to continued growth we are looking to hire an experienced car mechanic to join our thriving garage. We’ve been established in Frome for 35 years and over that time have always strived to provide the best overall service and experience that we can. This is a great chance to join a larger dynamic team where we actually help each other when needed.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on role involving diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and MOT testing (if qualified), working to a high standard across all makes and models.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out diagnostics and fault finding.
Servicing and mechanical repairs to a high standard.
Conducting MOTs (if licensed).
Maintaining workshop cleanliness and efficiency.
Completing job cards and documentation correctly.

Requirements

Level 3 or equivalent qualified technician, although an experienced level 2 would be considered.
Hold a Full UK driving license.
Own tools.
MOT licence desirable but not essential, willing to train right candidate in future.
Ability to work unsupervised with confidence and as part of a team.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Welding or auto-electrical experience advantageous.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm.
Overtime is optional and available during the week or Saturdays.

This is a full time position with 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) and we have a contributory pension scheme in place.
