We are looking for a motivated Team Leader to join our Private Housing Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the largest Private Housing Services in the country, playing a key role in shaping and delivering services that improve housing conditions, support tenants and landlords, through advice and enforcement.
You will lead a team of Tenancy Relations Officers and a Senior Trading Standards Officer to meet the new challenges of the Renters’ Rights Act. This is in addition to our established work protecting tenants against harassment and illegal eviction and the use of licence conditions to control unprofessional behaviour towards tenants. The team’s work also includes regulation of landlords and agents using consumer protection legislation. For further details, please refer to job description.
What we are looking for:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent alternative.
- Extensive relevant experience to the role, including of formal enforcement.
- Extensive knowledge of the private rented sector and associated laws.
- Effective at communicating complex information, clearly and succinctly.
- Ability to lead a team.
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines in a high-pressure work environment.
