Full job description

***Pay negotiable depending on skills and experience***

Due to our increasing workload, we are looking for a multi trade general builder/bricklayer, skilled and experienced in general building and bricklaying, block work, fencing, light groundworks/concreting/landscaping and minor repairs (e.g. roof tiles, guttering) to join the team as soon as possible. We are based on the outskirts of Bristol in Soundwell, BS16. Permanent role (self employed considered initially, with a view to becoming permanent).

Approved and trusted by varied clients in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, we carry out a wide range of high quality repair, refurbishment and remodelling projects large and small on commercial and domestic properties of all ages, using our own team of time-served and skilled tradespeople and contractors.

Role Responsibilities

Working alone and alongside various trade colleagues to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion on behalf of Smith & Brenson
Ability to work in different settings, representing the company positively; client-focused environments and homeowners’ properties
Following all instructions provided and maintaining a safe working environment

Criteria

Multi skilled (see above)
Relevant construction qualification desirable
Valid driving licence (ideally with no more than six penalty points)
Willingness to have Enhanced DBS criminal record check undertaken

Benefits

Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8.00am to 4.30pm
28 days’ holiday, including Bank Holidays

Weekly pay
Paid travel time after the first 45 minutes to/from the first/last job of the day
