Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dental team, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining efficient practice operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to lead clinical support and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Duties

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise dental instruments in accordance with regulations
Manage patient records accurately using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
Provide exceptional patient care, including pre- and post-treatment advice and instructions
Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance and training as needed
Maintain stock levels of dental supplies and order materials when necessary
Uphold infection control protocols diligently across all clinical areas
Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and external healthcare providers to facilitate seamless care delivery
Clinical Audits
TCO duties as required

Skills

Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills
Solid understanding of nursing principles applied within a dental environment
Proficiency in IT systems utilised for record keeping and appointment management
Ability to lead a team, demonstrating leadership qualities and motivational skills
Compassionate approach with a focus on delivering outstanding patient service

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
