Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, supporting the clinical team, and managing front desk duties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your nursing and administrative skills within a friendly and supportive environment. Duties

Assisting dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Managing patient records accurately using IT systems, including scheduling appointments and updating patient information
Greeting patients warmly upon arrival, checking in patients, and managing appointment bookings efficiently
Providing clear communication to patients regarding treatments, aftercare, and appointment details
Handling telephone enquiries professionally and responding to patient queries effectively
Supporting infection control protocols and maintaining a clean, organised reception area
Administering basic patient care tasks as required, including taking vital signs or assisting with minor procedures
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety standards

Experience

Previous experience as a dental nurse or receptionist within a dental practice is essential with a GDC registration.
Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills
Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required
