About the Role:

We are looking for a System and Network Administrator who can take ownership of our core IT systems and network support. You are not just maintaining computers and connections; you are helping create a reliable technical environment where staff can work efficiently, securely, and without unnecessary disruption. You will support users, manage systems, monitor network performance, and work closely with operations, administration, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, workstations, laptops, printers, software access, email accounts, and internal business systems.

Network Support: Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WiFi, VPN, connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and internet related issues.

Microsoft 365 Support: Support email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, user access, security settings, and basic administration across Microsoft 365 services.

Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve hardware, software, system, network, and application issues for employees across different departments.

Device Management: Set up, configure, update, and maintain company devices, including laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile equipment where required.

Security Support: Help maintain password policies, access controls, endpoint protection, software updates, backups, and basic cyber security best practices.

Documentation: Maintain clear records of IT assets, system changes, support procedures, network details, troubleshooting steps, and user guides.

Vendor Coordination: Work with external service providers, internet suppliers, software vendors, and hardware partners when needed.

User Support: Provide clear, patient, and professional support to non technical users, ensuring issues are handled efficiently and respectfully.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience: 3 plus years of experience in systems administration, network administration, IT support, or technical support in a business environment.

Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of Windows systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory or similar user management tools, networking basics, VPN, WiFi, routers, switches, firewalls, and endpoint support.

Problem Solving: You can investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and apply practical solutions without overcomplicating the process.

Communication: You can explain technical problems clearly to non technical users and provide professional support under pressure.

Organisation: You can manage multiple support requests, keep documentation updated, and follow through on technical tasks.

Mindset: You are reliable, detail oriented, service focused, and proactive. You understand that strong IT support is about keeping people productive and systems secure.

Pay: £24,420.00-£48,002.86 per year
