Full job description

Job Summary

Join our established dental team as a Dental Receptionist, where you’ll manage appointment scheduling, welcome patients and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the front desk.

Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment that keeps our practice running efficiently and patients feeling cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

There is a lovely, welcoming team spirit here and we offer a supportive and nurturing working environment.

The practice is located on the main high street in Broadstone. We have free parking.

The permanent position is available to start on 8th October 2026. We have two full days available; Thursday and Friday. The hours are 08:45-17:15 with a one hour lunch from 13:00-14:00.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally as they arrive for their appointments
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using dental office management software
Answer incoming phone calls and provide clear information and direct enquiries appropriately
Manage patient records, and billing information with accuracy and confidentiality
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely appointment management
Maintain a clean, organised front desk area
Assist with administrative tasks

Requirements

Prior office experience demonstrating good organisational skills and professionalism
Administrative experience in a healthcare or dental setting is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or dental practice management systems
A friendly attitude combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
