Full job description

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Hours: 14 hours (Monday & Wednesday)

Salary: £9,704.98 - £11,086.66

Location: Hamilton Square, Birkenhead

1. To maintain the day to day running of the Accounts Systems.

2. To maintain the day to day running of the Association’s Housing Management System.

3. To manage the inbound post

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To maintain the day to day running of the Accounts Systems.

1.1 To process as set out in Policies and Procedures all invoices received by the Association ensuring correct Authorisation.

1.2 To produce and process all cheques for signature from invoices and cheque requests.

1.3 To maintain accuracy in the data being inputted at all times.

1.4 To produce weekly BACS payment runs and send out remittances.

1.5 To accurately scan and save paid invoices to ensure quick retrieval.

1.6 To process petty cash as set out in policies and procedures.

2. To maintain the day to day running of the Association’s Housing Management System.

2.1 To distribute cash sheets and then record and audit all cash sheets received.

2.3 To process all rent payments to ensure their inclusion in the rent system and process any adjustments relating to the rent accounts.

3. To manage the inbound post.

3.1 To record the inbound post and distribute to the correct person or team.

3.2 To scan and save correspondence received for quick retrieval.

4. General

4.1 To participate in any training that may be considered necessary in developing the work.

4.2 Strict adherence to confidentiality is required at all times.

4.3 To work in accordance with the Association’s Safeguarding Accountability Framework at all times.

4.4 To treat everybody with respect and demonstrate commitment to Equality and Diversity.

4.5 To promote good practice through adhering to the Association’s Policy and Procedures and demonstrating the Association’s Behavioural Competencies.

4.6 To undertake any other responsibilities and duties appropriate to the level of the post that may be required from time to time.

Pay: £9,704.98-£11,086.66 per year
