Supply Chain Assistant (Part-Time, Fixed Term Contract)

Bromsgrove, Midlands Region

· £28,000 per annum pro rata (2 days per week, Fixed Term Contract until 31 December 2026)

First Grade International Ltd is the UK office of a Singaporean-owned global food ingredient business importing and distributing globally. We supply ingredients to many of the UK's leading food and drink manufacturers and own the well-established Koko Dairy Free brand, supplying dairy-free alternatives internationally. We are an ambitious, forward-thinking organisation that values teamwork, continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.

We are now seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Supply Chain Assistant to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis until 31 December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, liaising with multiple stakeholders and ensuring processes run smoothly and accurately.

The Role:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our day-to-day inbound and outbound supply chain activities. Working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and internal departments, you will help ensure information is accurate, communication is timely and processes are followed effectively. This role offers variety where no day is the same. If you are a detail-oriented administrator who enjoys working with data, systems and people, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities include:

Ensuring the accurate and timely landing of all incoming stock on the First Grade database system. Raising any associated queries with the 3PL and Clearing Agent and follow through to resolution.
Checking and collating of all shipping documents to be sent to our Clearing Agents and customers
Working with warehouse and shipping lines to ensure they have all the relevant information required to complete customs’ clearance and receipt of stock.
Use Continuous Improvement tools whilst working with external and internal stakeholders to reduce non-conformances, reduce cost, improve efficiency and drive for Right First-Time outcomes
Assist the Supply Chain Manager with any tasks that may be required

Essential Requirements:

· GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

· Previous administration or office-based experience.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills, including confidence using Excel and spreadsheets.

· Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands effectively.

· A methodical and organised approach to work.

· Commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.

Desirable requirements:

· Previous experience within a supply chain, logistics, customer service or operations environment.

· Experience working with third-party suppliers, warehouses or outsourced service providers.

· Understanding of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
