Job Title: Senior Supportability Engineer

Location: Brough – Hybrid 3-4 days in office per week

What you’ll be doing :

As a Senior Supportability Engineer, you will lead and develop a team of up to six, driving reliability, maintainability, and supportability across programmes while applying fleet knowledge to current and future designs. You will shape design-for-support strategies, define support requirements, and oversee the delivery of supportability outputs across development and in-service phases, ensuring alignment with recognised engineering standards and best practice.

Core duties:

Lead supportability analysis and influence design and sustainment
Advise teams on supportability and maintainability considerations
Manage and analyse design and in-service data
Deliver supportability outputs to required standards
Manage change impacts on support solutions
Assess safety requirements and associated risks

Essential Skills:

Previous experience leading a team within relevant industry (Aviation/ Defence/Civil/Automotive)
HNC/ Degree in Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautics Engineering or equivalent experience in supportability/maintainability role
Knowledge of reliability and supportability tools (e.g. LORA, FMECA, LSA, ILS, RCM)
Knowledge of LCM (Lifecycle Management)

The Supportability/Maintainability Team:

This team of around 20 spans multiple grades, ensuring supportability design across FCAS and GCAP, with a focus on lifecycle management, working closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders including the MoD, RAF, and international partners.
