Job title: Personal assistant (CB)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Ellesmere Port, CH65

Job purpose

To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer

Our client is a fun loving13-year-old male living with family in the Ellesmere Port area of Cheshire who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to support with a wide range of activities.

The role involves supporting our client to access community activities, build confidence, have fun, and enjoy social experiences in a safe and positive environment.

Main duties

Social duties:

Swimming
Walking and being outdoors
Watching movies
Soft play centres
Exploring new activities and places

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:

Values: We are looking for someone that is patient, kind, understanding, reliable and trustworthy. Can encourage independence while providing appropriate support. Has a good sense of humour and enjoys being active.
Specific requirements: Previous experience of working with individuals with autism and additional needs.

Hours of work: 6 hours per week term-time & 6 hours per week non-term-time.

Rate of pay: £14 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience

Essential:

Full UK driving licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous care & support work experience
Able to swim
Active person
Good at building relationships
Good communicator
Ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.
Experience of working with individuals who have Autism.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
