Full job description

We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and committed Therapeutic Support Workers to join our team supporting children aged 11–17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), trauma backgrounds, autism, and learning difficulties.

If you’re someone who leads with empathy, stays calm under pressure, and believes every young person deserves a second chance — we want to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

Building trusting, positive relationships with young people through consistency and care
Providing day-to-day emotional and practical support in a residential home
Supporting young people to develop life skills, independence, and confidence
Implementing care plans and therapeutic approaches (including PACE-informed practice)
Managing behaviours using de-escalation and safe systems of work (including PI where required)
Supporting attendance at education, appointments, and activities
Working alongside social workers, therapists, and clinical teams to achieve the best outcomes
Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding standards in line with Ofsted
Contributing to a warm, homely environment where young people feel safe and valued

What we’re looking for

Experience working with children or young people (residential, education, youth work, or similar)
Understanding of trauma-informed care, safeguarding, and behaviour support
Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient approach
Strong communication and teamworking skills
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays
Full UK driving licence (Preferred)
Age 21+

Desirable:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
