Summary

Year 1 Teaching Assistant Burnley Area

We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at a local primary school in Burnley. This role involves working within a Year 1 class, supporting the development and learning of young children. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping children achieve their full potential and ready to start as soon as possible.

Day-to-day of the role:

Assist in preparing the classroom environment, setting up necessary materials and equipment.
Support the teacher in delivering educational activities and engaging students in learning.
Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
Provide individual support to students, tailored to their educational needs and personal development.
Assist with the supervision of students during non-classroom times, including lunch and recess.
Participate in and support school events and activities.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to the teacher and parents as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Experience working with Year 1 students or in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of the educational needs and welfare of young children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of a classroom teacher.
A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
