Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for sewing and experience in warehouse settings to develop their skills further. Attention to detail, organisation, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines efficiently and accurately to produce various textile products
Follow detailed work instructions and specifications to ensure product quality and consistency
Inspect finished work for defects, ensuring all items meet quality standards
Maintain and troubleshoot sewing machines, performing basic repairs or adjustments as needed
Organise materials and supplies to optimise workflow and minimise downtime
Keep the work area clean, safe, and organised in compliance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

Experience

Previous experience working with sewing machines, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; a strong organisational ability is required
Familiarity with textile or fabric handling is desirable
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams or instructions is beneficial
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are vital for this role.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
