Outline of the role:

Are you looking to kick-start or grow your career in Quality Assurance? Our Change and Digital Innovation Unit are looking for Junior QA Engineers with some hands-on experience who are eager to learn, develop, and make a real impact. These roles are offered on a full time permanent basis with Hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office.

At the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service, you’ll play a key role in improving digital services that support access to justice across Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team, build your skills, and work with modern testing tools and methodologies.

What you’ll be doing

Designing and executing functional and automated test cases
Supporting BDD-based test development (e.g. WebdriverIO, Cucumber)
Creating test plans, reports, and QA documentation
Logging, tracking, and managing defects through to resolution
Working within Agile teams to deliver high-quality digital services
Collaborating with developers, analysts, and stakeholder

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:

Some hands-on QA/testing experience (placement, internship, or junior role)
Knowledge of testing tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar
Basic understanding of automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO)
Awareness of testing approaches (Agile, BDD, regression, UAT)
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
Have (or are working towards) ISTQB Foundation.
