Full job description

The Seeds School is looking for an experienced hairdresser and/or beautician to join a friendly team in a mixed SEND School providing support for 14-16-year-old students.

The Seeds School is an Independent School aimed at supporting students with a primary need of SEMH at Key Stage 4.

You will be responsible for the delivery of Hairdressing and/or Beautician skills as well as embedding of English, Maths and ICT into your lessons. You must be able to instil enthusiasm and enjoyment into the learning process in such a way that can lead to increased self-esteem and enhanced engagement in learning.

Applicants must have a high standard of industry experience.

Applicants for this post must have experience of working with young and vulnerable people with special needs, challenging behaviours and mental health difficulties.

Applicants must have prior teaching experience and it is desirable for applicants to already hold relevant teaching qualifications.

Please note the salary scale covers entry level unqualified teachers, through to qualified experienced teachers. Teacher training will be provided for any unqualified teaching candidates.

Applicants must have a professional approach, be flexible and able to work alongside students engaged in vocational settings, as well as in a classroom environment.
