Job Outline

An experienced, motivated and organised fitness professional is sought to join the Competence management team on a part-time basis working from our Robin Park Leisure Centre premises. The role involves co-ordinating, developing and helping manage our Adult Health & Fitness courses operation. This currently includes 20 courses per year of Gym Instruction, S&C, Personal Training, Nutrition and Sports Massage.

This is a flexible but demanding role with real growth potential suited to someone already working within the fitness industry and looking to transition into management. Organisational and communication skills are essential with the ability to handle detail reliably and effectively.

· Coordinator, Adult Health & Fitness courses - part-time

· salaried or contract arrangement – initially 1-2 days per week

· role would suit an experienced Tutor/Assessor, Personal Trainer or Coach who is looking for a flexible part-time opportunity into management.

· coordinating and expanding the current 20 courses-per-year programme of Adult Health & Fitness courses delivered face-to-face including Gym Instruction, S&C, Personal Trainer, Nutrition, Sports Massage, Pre and Post Natal.

· opportunity to further teach, mark and assess on courses the applicant is qualified to deliver, if desired.

· delivery days on Saturdays at Wigan Warriors Gym & Robin Park Leisure Centre.

· opportunity to start fully online courses

· immense growth potential to suit the right candidate.

The role includes:

proactively managing online course enquiries and learner applications
accepting learners, controlling registration and monitoring progress
supporting learners and helping resolve issues from delivery days (Saturdays)
coordinating freelance tutors, learners, assessors and course operation
liaising with venue managers at Wigan Warriors & Robin Park Leisure Centre

Your Qualifications and Experience: a balanced mix from the following essential and desirable skills, experience and qualifications

significant experience within the health, fitness or physical activity sector
calm organisational and communication skills with the ability to handle detail
ability to manage multiple stakeholders including tutors, learners, venues and IQA
experienced deliverer of health and fitness qualifications
Industry certificates in Gym Instruction, Fitness, Coaching, Nutrition or Sports Massage
Assessor qualification (A1/D32/D33 or TAQA equivalent)
PGCE, Certificate or Diploma in Education or equivalent
experience working with awarding bodies and learner registration processes
experience in a coordination, management or administration role within training
